Macon Music Live: Origins

Macon Music Live: Origins

Journey through time with a folk life play celebrating Macon’s music heritage, featuring the stories of Little Richard, Lucille Hegamin, Otis Redding, Hamp Swain, James Brown, Phil and Alan Walden of Capricorn Records, and Ann Howard of Ann’s TicToc Lounge.

An intimate and interactive performance spanning the jazz age to the birth of Southern rock, a talented cast of seven local musicians and actors (Charles Davis, Anthony Ennis, Chomoya Faulk, Jim Montgomery, Roger “Christian” Walden, Saralyn Collins, and Trajan Clayton) will perform the 45-minute show, directed by Jim Crisp and written and conceived by Jessica Walden.

Combining storytelling and the deep-rooted Macon melodies that forever changed the face of American music history, the show is presented by Rock Candy Tours, Visit Macon, and Macon200. The Macon Music Revue will perform a live concert after, presented by Grant’s Lounge and 100.9 The Creek FM.

Doors open an hour before each show, with a full cash bar at the venue.
