THE MISSION OF CONNECT THE DOTS IS: To provide strong educational support to our middle and high school students in order to propel them to become future leaders in their desired fields of interest. This includes supporting special education students to give them the extra push they may need to become future leaders, or to do their best in a skill most suitable for them.

I AM PROUD THAT: I have helped more than 10,000 students learn how to read, although I was told in my early schooling that I myself would always struggle with reading.

THE MOST GRATIFYING PART OF MY JOB: When a student who has had little faith in themselves starts to believe that they can become anything they desire, and are willing to put the work in to achieve it.

I ADMIRE WOMEN WHO: Rise above adverse situations and accomplish their goals.

ADVICE FOR WOMEN WANTING TO START A BUSINESS: The technicalities of starting a business are a process, but the mindset is where it all starts. So, to give sound advice for women wanting to start their own business in Macon or anywhere for that matter: Develop your craft and do your homework.

RIGHT NOW, I’M MOST EXCITED THATI am excited about the opportunities that are opening up for young entrepreneurs, the development efforts in the downtown area, and emerging women in leadership roles.

THE BEST ADVICE I’VE EVER RECEIVED: “Be laser focused on one thing at a time. – Dominque Johnson, pastor of Kingdom Life Church and owner of The Urban CEO

I HOPE MORE WOMEN WILL: Trust their leadership abilities and become leaders in male-dominated fields. And even when women don’t completely trust those skills, but there is proven record of success, I hope women will rise above that fear and still take a place in those male-dominated areas.
