What is the mission of your business?
Our mission is to provide inspiration and empowerment by spreading God’s love and compassion when the power of prayer and His word collides with fashion. We pray that all who engage in our Powerful Women Pray experience will make prayer their lifestyle. Prayer is not boring; it’s a necessity and there’s nothing more fashionable and in style than always having the answer, Jesus! Our PWP apparel will make every woman feel they are wearing more than just a fashionable item. Our goal is that every woman will feel she is wearing her testimony: She is powerful because she prays!

What lessons did you learn because of the COVID-19 pandemic?
I learned the importance of being adaptable to any circumstances that may arise and cause changes to daily operations or the overall structure of operations. I learned the beauty and importance of being open to opportunities to pivot when challenges arise, as well as using challenges as opportunities for innovation.

What is your advice for women wanting to start their own business in Macon?
We’ve all been entrusted with unique gifts and talents. We possess those gifts and talents to be of service to others. It’s the purpose and intent of why we were created. My advice for women wanting to start their own business is to do what you were created to do. You were created for that purpose. Purpose fulfilled is a life fulfilled.

How do you define success?
I define success as the completion of an intended plan, task or goal that was purposefully achieved. So often, people dream of achieving something but never attempt to start, or the attempt is made but they never reach completion.

What are you most excited about right now in our community?
The opportunities and support our community is providing to small businesses, especially women-owned businesses. It is exciting! The support is unmatched! For example, this amazing media company, Macon Magazine created a space to offer a magnetic, beautiful and illuminating experience for amazing female business owners, who are making an impact in our community to be featured and highlighted in such a positive way.

Why is Central Georgia a good place to do business?
The opportunities for growth and innovation in Central Georgia are the top reasons. The people of Central Georgia have cultivated a unique space for many small business owners to successfully do business here.

You might be surprised that: I am the first female business owner in my family.

What is the most gratifying part of your job?
The most gratifying part about my job is that I get the opportunity to share my unique gifts with everyone with whom I come into contact. And I get to leave people in a better space than they were prior to our encounter. I strive to be a living example of doing all things in excellence. Excellence is an attitude that is available to everyone.

What has been the most challenging part of being a female business owner?
I would have to say being able to maintain the essence of being a woman while experiencing growth and advancement in an industry that often demands firmness, assertiveness and being quick-witted.

I admire women who: allow nothing and no one to limit them in achieving their goals. I admire women who stay the course to see a dream fulfilled.

What was the best business advice you ever received?
Your customers or clients are your strategic partners. That was eye-opening to me. I hold partnerships with a very high regard. Partnerships allow business owners to do things we cannot do by ourselves. Hence, there would be no business without our most valued strategic partners, our customers.

I hope more women will: Follow their dreams, passions and desires, and believe none of the dreams and goals they have are impossible to achieve.

How can women better support each other?
By serving one another with their gifts and talents in the most loving and pure ways.

How can men better support women business owners/leaders?
By advocating for women business owners in spaces where we do not have proper or available representation.

Looking back, I wish I had recognized: Just how valuable and vital my gifts are to the world. I now operate out of intentionality and fearlessness because I am aware that my gifts can evoke positive impact and change into our community and the world.

In five years, I: Look forward to serving others on an even greater level than I do now. I look forward to seeing the strides, leaps and bounds that businesswomen, and women in general, will have taken and the success achieved from those actions.
