Young Designers Night
A showcase of youth-designed fashion, styling, and entrepreneurial pop-ups by Bibb County School District students. Keynote speaker Nicola Watson, founder of Le Fashion Lab. See what aura farming is all about.
Fashion is Not Frivolous! Talks on Past, Present, and Future
Fireside chat with Emily Allmond (Historic Macon Foundation) and Rhiannon Valaine (Wesleyan College), and an interactive session with textile artist Wini McQueen, plus Canaan Marshall (floral designer) and Susannah Maddux (Macon Magazine editor-in-chief).
Responsible Runway
Panel discussion on fast fashion and design ethics, followed by a runway presentation of Wesleyan students’ upcycled designs.
Elevate Your Style
Join Andrea Cooke with panelists Lakesia Toomer, Brandon Harris, Jeremy Grissom, Yurie Hayashi, Maiesha Clark, and Dr. Gloria Cissé as they discuss style elevation through color theory, therapy, and psychology. Local boutiques and retailers will demonstrate live styling transformations.
Bright City Opening Reception – Armor and Adornment: Muscogee Fashion Rooted in Identity
Bright City presents Armor and Adornment Opening, featuring designers Jamie Roland-Hill and Julia Wakeford. Show features photography by Jave Bjorkman, Matt Odom, and Jessica Whitley.
Put It On: Local and Indigenous Urban Runway Presentation

Macon commands the catwalk.
Macon Fashion Week made its debut this November with a citywide celebration of fashion, design, and community unlike anything the region has seen before. Presented by Macon Magazine and Wesleyan College, this inaugural event was more than a fashion week—it’s a movement.

Showcasing local designers, curated boutiques, Indigenous artists, and student talent.
Workshops & Panels
Exploring sustainability, ethical fashion, entrepreneurship, and the business of creativity.
Beauty Spotlights
Celebrating Macon’s own hair stylists, nail artists, and glam professionals.
Citywide Style Activations
Come together for happy hours, coffee conversations, and style swaps.
Submit to Be a Featured Designer
Featured designers are eligible for editorial coverage in Macon Magazine print and various platforms, social media exposure, other earned media coverage, professional photography of work, and a stipend. Selected designers will be expected to present a 5-10 piece collection on Friday, November 6. Designers must provide their own models and hair/makeup.
