What is your mission, and how has it shifted with covid-19?

My mission is to provide beautiful jewelry to men and women without breaking the bank, and to share a business opportunity that provides flexibility and an additional stream of income. My business shifted in an amazing way since the pandemic. Sales increased instead of decreased. In 2020, my sales increased by 52 percent compared to 2019.

What is the most gratifying part of your job?

Selling jewelry while providing hope, encouragement and inspiration to a hurting world. I love when women tell me that shopping with me gives them their confidence back. They desire to do more for themselves.

How do you define success?

Success is not only being great at what I do, but being great at leaving a path for someone to follow and become great as well.

Looking back, i wish i had: Learned to speak another language, preferably Spanish.

What is the best business advice you ever received?

My name and word is all I have, so protect it.

Your advice for women wanting to start their own business in Macon?

My advice would be to do your research first. Find out what is required to operate your new business. I am seeing that most business owners jump right into their business because they know their craft, however they forget there is also a business side to it that must be maintained.

What are you most excited about right now in our community?

I’m excited to see how many families have been helped through community efforts during the pandemic. For example, all the drive-up food drives and even the drive-up COVID-19 testing stops.

You might be surprised to know: I am a business accountant by day, Paparazzi is my first direct sales company I ever worked for and you can become a six-figure and seven-figure earner selling $5 accessories.

What has been the most challenging part of being a female business owner?

Women business owners who feel other businesswomen pose a threat to them.

I admire women who: are strong, committed, determined and supportive of other women.

I hope more women will: Believe in themselves be more supportive of other women in business.

How can women better support each other?

Celebrate one another’s wins.

How can men better support women business owners?

By not making a woman feel guilty for her role and drive as a successful business owner.
